2025 Municipal Elections

A municipal election is an election held at the town level to allow residents to select their local government leaders and representatives. In the Town of Coronation, this involves voting for five Town Councillors who will represent the community.

Key Points:

Purpose: Municipal elections determine who will represent Coronation in making decisions about important local matters, including infrastructure, community services, development, and budgets.

Timing: In Alberta, municipal elections occur every four years.

Voters: All eligible residents of Coronation are encouraged to participate in these elections.

Impact: Local government decisions directly affect residents' daily lives, from road maintenance and parks to public safety and other essential services.

Municipal elections are a cornerstone of grassroots democracy, providing Coronation residents with the opportunity to shape their community by choosing their local leaders.

As in past elections, Form 13 - Electors Register will be available at voting station for individuals to complete who are not already listed on the Register. Please note that anyone who completes this form on Election Day will automatically be added to the Permanent Elector Register.
