Solid Waste & Recycling Collection
The Town of Coronation provides garbage collection every Wednesday of each week, with the exception of Christmas Day and New Year’s Day. Recycling pickup occurs every second Wednesday.
Garbage collection service has been contracted to a private business. Each residence has been given a black cart for garbage and a blue for recycling. These carts have been provided to the Town by our contractor and there is no cost. However, each cart has a serial number that is linked to the house or business it is assigned to. Know your serial numbers. If your cart is lost or damaged you will have to purchase a new cart.
Your garbage cart and recycle cart must be placed out by 7:00 am on collection day and be brought back inside the property line following collection. All materials must be placed inside of the garbage cart and/or recycle cart; additional containers, bags or other items outside of the carts will not be collected.
Starting Tuesday, April 1, 2025, our recycling program will be managed by Circular Materials as part of a shift to Alberta’s new Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) program.
What does this mean for residents?
- The curbside recycling collection process will not change for residents.
- No changes to the collection schedule or the list of items that can be recycled.
